What do you have to do to provide my new Energy Performance or EPC Certificate?
It’s very straightforward, we need to take some measurements and draw a floor plan. We will check the property’s construction and the existing insulation. The surveyor will look at the heating system, the heating system controls, and how you heat your hot water. They will also check the lighting and any other improvements you have made to the energy efficiency of your home.
Whilst the surveyor will normally be able to carry out the survey “visually”, if you have done anything, for example, added solar panels if you have any paperwork it helps to ensure the rating benefits from all the improvements meaning you could get a better rating.

How quickly could Banbury EPC Assessments carry out the survey and provide my certificate?
Banbury EPC Assessments can often carry out the survey for you the same or the next day. All surveys are at your convenience and we will ensure that we attend to them promptly. Surveys can be carried out outside normal “business hours”. You could choose either early in the morning, (if you have work or other commitments), early evening, or at weekends if you prefer.
How long does it take for Banbury EPC Assessments to carry out the survey and for me to get my EPC?
The survey will typically take between 30 – 40 minutes and the EPC will usually be lodged within the next 24 hours. We can also if requested offer an immediate lodgement service. This means the certificate can be fully lodged whilst we attend the property.
When do we pay, do I have to pay in advance?
